Vicky Kaushal’s film Uri: The Surgical Strike has been one of the most successful films of the actor and the film was indeed unforgettable. The film invoked a sense of pride in the hearts of every Indian and made quite an impact after its release. Now, after six months since the film released, Aditya Dhar’s directorial is set to re-release today in theatres on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas. Taking a step in the right direction, the government has also decided to host free press shows for students in 500 theatres in Maharashtra.

Now, on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, actor Vicky Kaushal himself took to Instagram to share the news. It is indeed a big feat and the actor mentioned in his caption that he is honoured to share that his film Uri: The Surgical Strike will be re- released only for today ie July 26. It is a moment of pride for the actor and he shared it on the social media platform. His caption read, “Happy and honoured to share that our Film #UriTheSurgicalStrike will be re-released only for today, July 26th, to commemorate ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’. It will be screened for free in 500 theatres across Maharashtra. Extremely thankful to the Maharashtra State Government for their support and encouragement to this initiative by @rsvpmovies.
